NEW INTERCHANGE RAMPS AT HIGHWAY 401 AND SOUTHMINSTER BOURNE PRELIMINARY DESIGN, CLASS EA, AND DESIGN BUILD-READY STUDY – GROUP ‘B’ 2024 CLASS EA

This study includes the Preliminary Design, Class Environmental Assessment (EA), and Design Build Ready Study for new interchange ramps at Highway 401 and Southminster Bourne. As part of the study, the Project Team will review existing conditions, develop and evaluate potential ramp alternatives, identify potential impacts, and develop preliminary environmental mitigation measures. A Recommended Plan will be confirmed at the completion of the study.
Timing for construction is subject to funding and approvals.
Consultation
Consultation with stakeholders, external agencies, Indigenous communities, and the public is ongoing through the study. At the end of the study, a Transportation Environmental Study Report (TESR) will be issued for a 30-day comment period. The TESR will summarize the Class EA process, recommended plan, existing conditions, consultation activities, potential environmental effects, and proposed mitigation, and will be available on this project website.
